Our cosy guesthouse (2 comfortable double guestrooms, gay friendly) is situated in 2 acres of terraced gardens, next to the famous vineyards of Chinon and not far from the lively town of Tours or from the castel of Azay-le-Rideau, in the very heart of the Touraine, between the Loire Valley and the picturesque meanderings of the river Vienne.
A multitude of nearby sights (most famous ones as well as charming secret places), the beautiful surroundings, the warm and welcoming atmosphere of our house with its garden, troglodyte caverns, its living-room with piano, open fireplace, bookshelves (plenty of books in English), sofas and armchairs – all this will make your stay a most pleasant one.

To complete this experience of the French way of life, we propose dinner at the ‘Table d’Hôte’, a complete meal prepared with fresh and local products (starter, main course, cheese and dessert, accompagnied by Chinon AOC wine), served either in the garden or in our cosy kitchen around a huge wooden table. The ‘Table d’Hôte’ must be reserved in advance.
Kai-Stefan and Bernard speak fluent English.

NOTICE   We are establishing a little restaurant in the old centre of Chinon and therefore dinner at the ‘table' d'hôte’ is not available in 2009. We will advise you to fond nice places nearby to dine out. Certain evenings we can provide for a good cold meal on self-service. Ask for details when you do your reservation.

The stay at ‘Clos de Bel Air’ invites to cultural walks with plenty of historical monuments nearby (Jardins de Villandry, château de Loches, Richelieu, Maison Balzac in Saché, etc.). Close to the Clos de Bel-Air you will find the nice village of Saint-Epain with all its shops (chemist's shop, doctor, grocer's, baker's, etc.) You might go to the swimmingpool at Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine (8km) or at l’Ile Bouchard (9km).
